THE BIRDICT
🧡 This was not your average “gotcha” thriller. In fact, I guessed a lot of the plot somewhere around the 60% mark. But I don’t care. The characters were interesting, the premise intriguing and I wanted to see it through. I’d much rather it that way round than a completely unrealistic plot for the sake of a forced surprise.
💚 Read this for the love-to-hate characters, for the tense dynamics and the hope of comeuppance for those who deserve it.

SQUAWKING THE TALK
🎧 Thoroughly enjoyable, natural performance by Stacey Glemboski. She had her work cut out for her with so many similar female characters to voice, but she differentiated them well.
🎧 You need to have your wits about you when listening to this. There are lots of characters to keep track of and several narrative voices. Other than that, it flows well and I happily had it on throughout the course of my day.
BIRDS OF A FEATHER: SIMILAR AUDIOBOOKS
I didn’t like the ending, I wanted Kirk to live. It just felt like he and Sarah had a lot of things unsaid. I did enjoy Sarah and Phil’s friendship. I was dreading the moment when he turned out to be embroiled in something sinister and was oh so grateful when it never materialised.
